Dannell was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years, Richard Harb, Sr. She “knew Whom she believed and was persuaded that He was able to keep that which she had committed unto Him until that day.” (2 Timothy 1:12).

Over the last year, we were fortunate to hear her express her great desire to “go to Heaven and to be with Jesus” many times. Her family will remember the joy she had in having everyone together on our annual beach trip knowing they could always count on her to pray when they needed prayer the oldest ones spending every Friday night at their house for years and praying with them before bedtime (praise God first, then thank Him, confess wrongdoing, then ask for what you need) and faithful attendance at their sporting events her kind and giving heart her generosity her singular focus on whomever was talking to her her delicious meals her dedication to send hundreds of cards each year to family and friends her continuing ministry to many via prayer and phone calls and her Godly example - always pointing to Jesus. They also fondly remember her teaching axioms: “a miracle is something special only God can do,” “partial obedience is disobedience,” “prayer is just a conversation between two people who love each other” and “know God, know peace no God, no peace,” just to name a few. She always pointed them to Scripture and led “by the book” with excellence in all things. She is fondly remembered by those who served as leaders and class members with her as a selfless servant, zealous for the Father’s glory, and dependent on God in prayer - all reflecting Jesus. She lived in light of the verse she shared every year at the year-end “Sharing Day:” “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and Your faithfulness.” (Psalm 115:1) and would deflect any glory or attention to herself. In these roles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, she impacted the lives of thousands of women through her faithful teaching, leading, and praying. She served in BSF as a group leader, Substitute Teaching Leader under Charlotte Womack, then Teaching Leader of the Knoxville Women’s class for 17 years. She became a dedicated member of West Hills Presbyterian Church in 1986, serving there in many ways including teaching children’s Sunday School classes and leading the women’s Bible study. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother-in-law, sister and sister-in-law, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother, affectionately known to her grandchildren and their friends as “Nonnell.” In the early 1980’s her friend Orsella Davis invited her to a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class, where she met the Lord Jesus Christ, surrendered to His Lordship, and faithfully served Him the rest of her life. She was on the board of Birthright, a former crisis pregnancy organization in Knoxville and was involved with “saving the Bijou Theatre” in the 1970’s. It was a great joy to Dannell to be a full-time wife and mother and also the bookkeeper for the dental practice. They were married on June 16, 1962, then settled in Knoxville as he opened a dental practice here in his hometown. John’s Catholic School then attended Dental Hygiene School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dannell was born on July 6, 1942, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Daniel and Dorothea Ziegler. Her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ, Whom she once believed in faith, she now sees in reality.
